Oakland International Airport (OAK) has a wide variety of ground transport options for transfers to Oakland city, San Francisco and other California destinations. The BART light rail service provides speedy connections with the city, while AC Transit operates bus services which are slower but efficient.

Free hotel shuttles are available for some establishments, while taxis and limousines offer a more expensive but convenient alternative.

Buses

AC Transit provides bus services between the airport and various Oakland locations. Line 50 operates every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evening and provides services to destinations in east Alameda, east Oakland and San Leandro. Line N runs hourly from midnight to sunrise between the airport and downtown Oakland and San Francisco.

Visitors staying at reputable hotels will invariably find that hotel shuttles are available between the airport and the hotel establishment of their choice. We recommend that you contact your hotel to check the availability of such services ahead of your arrival at the airport.

BART Shuttle Buses / Light Rail

The BART light rail shuttle service runs between the airport and downtown Oakland. Services operate from Monday to Saturday, 05:00 to midnight, and on Sunday from 08:00 to midnight. Meanwhile, Evans Airport Service and Airport Express also provide some scheduled shuttle services.

Trains

Amtrak provide rail services between Oakland and the airport. Meanwhile, the BART light rail shuttle service described above is also available.

Taxi Cabs

Taxi services provided by Friendly Cab and Veteran's Cab are available from outside the airport buildings.

Limousines

A vast number of limousine companies provide pickup services from Oakland International Airport (OAK). Many are represented at the airport, while others are located in downtown Oakland.
